Such a beautiful purse
Such a beautiful purse, such a beautiful purse, and I’ve no coin to put within.
A poem with such a lovely verse, and no opening line to begin,
A heart, a heart, such a beautiful heart, alone with none to love or hold.
A crime, a shame, such a terrible fate, as the hope goes dim and so cold.
A day, a day, what a beautiful day, but no sun to lighten the air
A face, a face, searching for another face to care.
A light, a light, in a starry filled night, to point the hidden path.
The dream, the dream, the beautiful dream, but the dream didn’t last.
The song, the song, as each days draws along, to give the sorrow a chance to escape.
The wife, the wife, oh the love of his life, turned to a woman of anger and hate.
A prayer a prayer, while into his eyes she just stares, for the two to go on and forgive,
The shame the shame placed on the loving man’s name, so that the woman of hatred might live.
The nights the nights, with the sorrow and fights, until the man can’t take it any more.
To the night, to the night, he walks slowly upright, as behind him he closes the door.
With no company, there is none there to see, for everyone looks the other way to not see.
Abandoned, abandoned, just as the woman demanded, but she states he’s deserted her legally.
Oh the pay, oh the pay, they must take it all away, for the woman must not do without money.
So he pays, every day, while she shames him. He he, and it’s so silly its frighteningly funny.
Oh the goal, oh the goal, to the one who’s the fool, to rejoin the house that offers him no support,
To the ground it falls down, and in a deafening sound, he tries to help her rebuild, what a sport!
Such a purse, what a purse, what a beautiful purse, with no coin to lay gently within.
Oh the loss, such a loss, tears and sadness at what cost, for the new life they both sadly begin.
Oh the tears, look and see here, full of sorrow and fear, they have no hope of restoring their love.
But the hope that they’ll cope, in the world with their yoke, that is what forgiveness and faith are made of.
